Heliconian Club membership is part of a Toronto tradition. Across generations and backgrounds, the Club has enabled women in the arts to help and welcome each other: unique access is given to networking, planning, and creative opportunities. ​All female-identifying individuals are welcome to apply.

We offer many open-to-the-public events: Life Drawing, the Literary Lecture Series, concerts, salons, art exhibit receptions and more. All are welcome, regardless of how you identify!

Club Sections:

The Club has six sections (click for more information on any individual section):  Dance, Drama, Humanities, Literature, Music, and Visual Art.

DISCOUNTS:

• In addition to having access to member-only events, members receive discounts and priority enrolment opportunities in all of the Club's programs. 
• Members are eligible for a fixed number of rental discounts every year. 
• Member are eligible for 2 free hours of weekday daytime rehearsal time, for any discounted hall rentals. 
• Membership cards afford members discounts at select businesses. 

Membership Fees:

• Full Members ($351.70 plus HST/year).  Women actively engaged in the arts or those with long term interest in/support for the arts, who reside in the greater Toronto area (GTA) or its vicinity (within 80 kilometres of the Club’s premises). All female-identifying individuals are welcome to apply.
• Discounted rates for younger women ($175.85 plus HST/year).  Women in the early stage of their careers (35 years or younger) are encouraged to join, and receive a special membership rate.
• Non-resident Members ($170.52 plus HST/year). Women who qualify as Full Members but who live outside the GTA (more than 80 kilometres of the Club’s premises).
• Honorary Life Members.  Life Membership is an honour conferred on a member of the Club who has given outstanding service to the Club over a period of many years. There are no dues for Honorary Life Members.
• One-time Initiation Fee: $85 plus HST
