NON-ARTS-BASED RENTALS

This rental category covers a broad range of event types including corporate events such as AGMs, conferences and workshops as well as political debates, public seminars, and special fundraisers. Personal events such as parties, showers, weddings, memorials, and anything else that is not related to the arts, can also be held at the Hall.

NON-ARTs-based EVENT FEE STRUCTURe

The non-arts-based booking rate ranges from $454.50 plus HST to $750 plus HST. Rates vary by day of the week, month, and time of day. There are no additional discounts available for students or charitable organizations. Special exceptions are made for serial bookings of four or more events (for example, quarterly meetings) and successful applicants to our Rental Sponsorship Outreach Program (click here for details). All non-arts-based bookings are subject to a $50 Capital Improvement Fee per event that the Club puts in a reserve fund for repairs that benefit Hall users, audiences and renters.

The basic non-arts-based event rental package includes the following:
  • four hours on the day of the event, from access to exit, including setup, reception and cleanup time
  • additional hours for event time are available for $105 per hour
  • two complimentary hours of weekday, daytime rehearsal/planning time (Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm) within two weeks of the event, subject to hall availability, and usually booked no more than two weeks in advance of the rehearsal time. For weddings this is usually used for a ceremony rehearsal or seating arrangement planning.
  • additional rehearsal time is available ($55 per hour weekdays; $80 per hour evenings and weekends)
  • Please note: Precise time requirements need to be booked in advance, and the extra hourly rate will apply.

The rental includes:
  • use of the Boardroom
  • use of the lighting system, though if any cues other than on and off are required, someone from the event will need to operate the board, as staff is not provided
  • use of the kitchen. For information on what kitchen amenities are included, please see the Facilities Details page. For information on guidelines and policies regarding serving food and alcohol, we can provide you with either a digital version or hardcopy of our Rental Policies document.
  • use of the Steinway grand piano, which is tuned monthly. Tunings specifically for your event are available at cost ($180 plus HST), but must be booked in advance.

TECH SPECs

  • Wifi- Wifi is available but it is limited to about six devices at a time
  • Teleconference - Renters are welcome to bring remote teleconferencing set-ups 
  • Breakout Rooms- There are a few small sitting areas throughout the building that can be used as breakout areas, though they are far from traditional break out rooms, and the amenities in each area varies greatly. Also, the sound travels easily through the building, so the areas are not entirely secluded 
  • Flip chart- We have one flip chart stand available for use; chart paper and markers not supplied
