About the heliconian Hall foundation
The Foundation was created to receive donations and fundraise for projects directly related to the restoration and improvement of Heliconian Hall. Efforts to create the Foundation began in 1973 and in1991 it was granted charitable status.
The charitable status allows donors to the Foundation to tax receipts. All funds are used for restoration and improvement of Heliconian Hall. Past projects vary from major repair and upgrading work to maintaining the heritage fabric of an aging building and keeping the hall up to date with building safety codes required for public usage. The structure dates from 1875 and was purchased by the Club in1923. Heliconian Hall was designated a Toronto Historic Site in 1990 and designated a National Heritage Site in 2008 in recognition of the historical importance of the Club.

How To Donate
To donate to Foundation, please send a cheque made out to Heliconian Hall Foundation to the Club's address (35 Hazelton Avenue, M5R 2E3). Donations do not support Heliconian Club initiatives or activities, but are restricted to restoration and improvement of the Hall.
PAST RESTORATION AND IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
Through the early 1990s the foundation took on a major restoration and upgrading project to both the interior and exterior of the building.
One of our more recent significant projects has been the accessible ramp and washroom which are now complete. Providing a wonderful gain to our membership and widening rental opportunities into the community.
Smaller projects continue on to both enhance and maintain the atmosphere and authenticity of the Hall, this year new lighting fixtures have been installed in the Main Hall, the style of fixtures in keeping with the overall ambience.
