RENTAL RATES:
Our rentals bookings staff will work with you to find an affordable solution for your event needs.
Rates vary by month, day of the week, and time of day. Our rental bookings staff will discuss the details with you. Our arts-related event rate is between $354.00 to $752.00 (plus HST), with non-arts event rates priced modestly higher. Because of this arrangement, there are no additional discounts available for students or charitable organizations. Possible further discounts may be available for serial bookings of 4 or more events (for example, a concert series) and successful applicants to our Rental Sponsorship Outreach Program (click here for details). All bookings are subject to a Capital Improvement Fee ($25 per arts event, $50 per non-arts event) for building repairs and maintenance.

The Heliconian Club, which has been based out of Heliconian Hall for over 115 years, is committed to providing reasonably priced space for the arts, both for performance and rehearsal purposes. Due to this special, long-standing relationship with Toronto’s arts community, all arts-based rentals receive a discounted rental rate. However we are also delighted to welcome corporate parties, weddings & celebrations, networking luncheons and other non-arts-related events.

- 4 hours on the day of your event. Rental staff will pre-setup all chairs, tables and furniture to your specifications. Please note that your timeslot is only 4 hours, which includes your arrival at the building, all your setup/teardown, reception time, cleanup and exit from the building.
- Additional hours can be easily added in advance of your booking.
- After your contract is signed, we cannot guarantee that additional hours will be available. If they are available, you may request up to 1 hour overage from our staff during your event, which will be billed afterward at a premium rate. Overage beyond 1 hour is not possible.
Rental extras included:
- Use of the Steinway Model B grand piano, tuned monthly.
- Tunings specifically for your event are available ($230 plus HST), but must be booked well in advance.
- Use of the lighting & sound system.
- Our rental staff will setup the speakers, stage lighting, hall lighting and any other technical elements, to your specifications. Renters may do basic adjustments during their event, but must agree to not reset the sound mixer and lighting control board.
- Exclusive use of the kitchen during your main event (not guaranteed for rehearsals).

- Exclusive use of the boardroom during your main event (not guaranteed for rehearsals).
- This a comfortable room can be used as a Green Room for performers, or a reception space with or without food.
- If you wish to serve alcohol of any kind on our property (for free, or for sale), you will need to arrange your own SOP in advance of your booking. Please ask our staff for more details.
REHEARSAL RENTALS:
- The Hall is available to rent for weekday daytime rehearsals at a discounted rate, including use of the Steinway piano.
- Our rates range from $30 to $80 per hour.
- Minimum and maximum timeslots may be enforced for rehearsal-rate rentals.
- Unfortunately, we are unable to commit to booking ongoing rehearsal times (e.g. every Friday from 1-3pm).

Bookings at our rehearsal rates cannot be made more than 2 weeks in advance. If you would like to rent further in advance for rehearsals, our full rental rate applies. Please note that your timeslot includes your arrival at the building, all your setup/teardown, cleanup and exit from the building.
RECORDING RENTALS - Audio or Video:
The Hall is available to rent for audio or video recording at a discounted rate, including use of the Steinway piano. Our rates range from $55 to $80 per hour. Minimum and maximum timeslots may be enforced for rehearsal-rate rentals. Unfortunately, we are unable to commit to booking ongoing recording times (e.g. every Friday from 1-3pm).

Rental extras NOT included:
- Recording equipment that is NOT included: microphones, mic stands, cables, additional lights, amps, video cameras, tripod, a device to make or store the recording.
- Beyond basic setup, a technician is not provided.
ARTISTIC FUNDRAISERS AND AWARD CEREMONIES:
Fundraisers and award ceremonies that benefit arts organizations are billed at our arts-related rental rates.
VISUAL ART EXHIBIT Policies:
Renters may bring artworks into the space to display on easels during their rental period. The walls are not available for exhibiting artwork during a rental.
The visual artist members of the Heliconian Club have exclusive use of the wall space, and art exhibits are changed every two months. Renters are not permitted to remove or touch the art that is hanging on the walls. If necessary, artwork can be covered by full pipe and drape method (supplied by renter).

PHOTO Policies:
Professional photos & video are allowed in all interior and exterior areas. Closeup photos of the artwork hanging in the main hall is prohibited due to copyright issues.
