One of the ways the Club follows through on its commitment to “support, inspire and champion” women artists is to feature the works of its own members. Our artists are continually coming up with new creations and our volunteer curators are constantly presenting fresh exhibits for the viewing public. The quality and variety of the results is truly remarkable. Next time you are in the Club, be sure to take some extra time to view the art on the walls.
Another tradition at the Club is to encourage ekphrastic responses to the art from our members: writers, musicians and dancers. Please click on the videos below to listen to two ekphrastic poems by Kate Marshall Flaherty: Harnessing the Wind (after Kye Marshall’s “Windmill”) and “Reverse: for the Standing People” (after Linda Briskin’s “A Plea for the Earth").
