--In addition to the usual section and financial reports, the Business Meeting Tuesday, March 10, 6 p.m., will have a special feature. Mairi Stevenson, who has been working on the Club archives, has been invited to give members a report on her work. A light supper will be served; members may come just for the meeting at 7 p.m.
-- Reservations are required by noon Thursday, March 5, by those coming for supper. The Music Section is in charge of arrangements.

Literature Section Centennial Dinner

--The Literature Section will mark the Club’s 100th anniversary with a special dinner commemorating the many authors who have been or are now Heliconians. Five authors in particular will be featured as their descendants speak of their lives and work. Nancy Ind will talk of her aunt, Marjorie Wilkins Campbell, a chronicler of prairie rivers and explorers. Kittie Marie Fells will reminisce about her mother, Marie McPhedran, who wrote histories for children. Philip Creighton will speak of his mother, fiction writer Luella Creighton. Kim de la Roche will invoke memories of her mother in law, celebrity novelist Mazo de la Roche. And Julien Lebourdais will talk of his mother, Isabel Lebourdais, a crusader for justice.
-- Books by these and other Heliconian writers will be displayed on the stage in a special case on loan from the University of Toronto Art Centre.
-- The dinner, on Wednesday, March 25, 6 p.m., is already sold out. Anyone still interested in attending may check with the office in the event of a last minute cancellation.
